To use the Internet Protocol (IP) with this router, select this checkbox. It must be selected if you intend to use MacIP, IPTalk, IP Tunnelling, or SNMP.
To use subnetting on your IP network, select this checkbox. Use this option if your IP network uses a non-standard number of bits for the host portion of the IP address.
To use an optional default gateway, select this checkbox. When the router receives a packet with an unknown IP destination address, the router forwards the packet to the default gateway.
To use an IP broadcast packet format in which binary ones replace the host bits in the destination address, click this button.
To use an IP broadcast packet format in which zeroes replace the host bits in the destination address, click this button.
This is the IP broadcast address the router will use on the Ethernet network that connects to the router. It is derived from the Router IP Address and the Broadcast Format parameters.
Type in a unique IP address for the router. This address should contain the IP network address used on the Ethernet network that connects to the router.
Type in the subnet mask used on your IP network. The subnet mask indicates which of the bits in an IP address are to be treated as subnet address information. Binary ones in the mask indicate network address info, zeroes indicate host address info.
Type in the IP address of the default gateway. This is where the router will send packets it receives whose IP addresses are unknown.

To send IP packets with Ethernet headers, click this button.
To send IP packets with 802.3 headers, click this button.
To receive Routing Information Protocol (RIP) packets, select this checkbox. To send RIP packets, select the Transmit RIP checkbox in the MacIP Setup dialog box.
